Catherine Bouigas-Baule

I was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, July 7, 1952. I was interested very young in everything related to the world of art.

I have always drawn and attended many exhibitions in Paris. After my Baccalaureate, I took courses in Interior Architecture at the Académie Charpentier, rue de la Grande-Chaumière in Paris.

During this period, I was introduced to a range of different artistic activities: Architecture, Drawing, Design, posing sessions by live models, nudes... which taught me to grasp movements, shadows and lights, perspective…

It was at this moment that I had the feeling of vocation of Artist-Painter.

I practiced the profession of Interior Architect in many agencies and design offices, these were specialized in the design of exhibition stands, on behalf of companies located in Paris and other surrounding regions. .

My activity consisted of designing the stand, presenting this project in the form of plans, sketches with perspectives, and finally a volume model. This allowed me, however, to continue in parallel an activity of Artist-Painter: I exhibited many times in Paris, eg at the Carrousel du Louvre, and its surroundings.

I moved to Saint-Malo in 2005. With a totally free spirit, I devoted myself to painting on canvas. I was registered for 6 years at the Académie Malouine d'Arts Plastiques. This training completed my knowledge: oil painting, painters' tips. It also allowed me to make a choice among the styles, the subjects, the colors, which were part of my preferences.

I exhibited in Saint-Malo, at the Chapelle Saint-Sauveur, and in its region. To date, I am self-employed, independent, as an Artist-Author. I always paint with the same enthusiasm following my inspiration of the moment. My style is eclectic, my memory is photographic: where I store what is beautiful.
