Bronze Sculpture for Sale
My work on the "Walls" series began in 2008, in parallel with the craze for cave paintings in the Grotte Chauvet and other recently explored caves.
"Art has no history" said the philosopher Henri Maldiney. It would be achronic. Hence this desire to explore in my own way the immemorial times. Not to relive the moment of the first gesture (that would be absurd), but rather to revisit its prodigious aspect. Not to copy but to integrate a form of leaping or lost animality to the indefinite, sometimes disturbing universe that surrounds us.
The animal world as well as the human world are obviously threatened. Perhaps we are on the eve of a vast upheaval, punctuated by the disappearance of animal and plant species, and the human migrations that are coming. Yet a certain joy animates these paintings, testifying to my confidence in life.
