Théodora Vourvouri

Born in KOZANI in Greece in 1976.

Théodora VOURVOURI lived in Berlin from 1987 to 2003.

Self-taught painter, it is during her studies of art history and archeology that she begins the practice of painting.

In 2003, she moved to France as a professional painter.

She exhibits in Germany, Greece and France.

His reflection focuses on the interaction of space and the body, space and time.

"The space that surrounds us is for me the continuity of our body. We constantly bring very personal elements to it and thus create a space that resembles us, is part of us and inhabited by our thoughts, becomes the mirror of our world.

By questioning myself on the definition of the outside world, the spaces and the characters represented in my works are put in relation.

Spaces sometimes devoid of human presence, invite the spectator to deposit his thoughts there, in a moment of intimacy."
