One day I read this short poem and from here I began my artistic journey, the fascinating challenge of being able to capture the emotions aroused by these precious and ancient materials and "imprison" them in a work of art. The infinite shades of the stones, the wonderful kaleidoscope of colors created in the combination of the latter in a mosaic, create a unique piece every time, as each gem is one in its purity and perfection, and precisely in an attempt to preserve these characteristics I only use for rough stones. The creation of each piece starts from the antiquing of an image applied to wood, which is reinterpreted several times using different stones. Precisely the latter are the protagonists of my works, my goal is to emphasize their beauty through mixed artistic techniques learned during my studies as a hobbyist carried out over the years. In fact, my artistic path was not linear, having obtained a scientific high school diploma, graduated in 2008 in political science from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart of Milan, graduated in gemology from the Gemological Institute of America GIA in Florence in 2009, for several years I have cultivated my interest in art and craftsmanship only marginally, combining it with various work experiences and additional courses, such as stone cutting at the gemmare rum stoners of Cavalese TN, engraving of precious metals at the Ambrosiana goldsmith school of Milan since 2018 I have dedicated myself full time to my artistic laboratory stonata atelier in Milan.
