Alain Cassaigne

Alain Cassaigne has always had a sense of automobiles in all their forms. Karting champion and driver, collector of toy cars and owner of vintage vehicles, his current approach, born of maturity, becomes legitimately obvious. A professional artist for 25 years, he recently began working under the ALCA brand on his unique automotive "monsters" with an immoderate taste for dreams. Today, he enjoys international recognition and renown.

ALCA's automotive creatures transport us into a dreamlike world of fantasy films, comics, and old images from the early 20th century, but these automotive sculptures do not seek to copy existing models. The aim is to explore, to surprise, to seduce with a line, a momentum, a purity.

The signature of these creations is an excessive trait taking us back to childhood and the sense of excess then becomes delightful. Based on solid ceramic, these models are unique pieces. No copy exists, neither bronze nor resin, and the mastery of the earth requires rigorous and accomplished work for rare works entirely made by hand.
