Olga Schrüfer-Kozlova

Born on March 26, 1947 in Chomutov, in West Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, Olga Schrüfer-Kozlova spent her childhood and youth in Karlovy Vary, where she obtained her baccalaureate and studied languages as well as tourism economics.

At the same time, she took fine arts courses with Professor Ludva.

In 1968, during the Prague Spring, she left Czechoslovakia and settled in Munich, Germany. She then continued her painting studies with Professor Hinsch in Göttingen.

Starting in 1979, Olga Schrüfer-Kozlova exhibited her works in many countries, including Germany, France, Monaco, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, the United States, and Canada.

Her paintings are now in private and public collections in these different countries, as well as in Austria and the Netherlands.

She then lived for several years on the French Riviera as well as in Florida. Today, she lives and paints near Étretat.

The dominant theme of her artistic work is that of a landscape bathed in light.

The accuracy of this Goethe quote appears with a particular force in the work of Olga Schrüfer-Kozlova. The depth of her landscapes is entirely imbued with light.

In November 2025, during an auction in Prague (CZ), the painting
“In the hills", 40 x 40 cm, was sold for a record price — more than one and a half times its asking price: 5,0 € against 3,0 €.
