Biography

Following her art studies at Atelier de Sèvres and LISAA, she left for 7 years in Niger to teach visual arts at the Mariama school and the French school of Niamey; country in which she will develop its creations by learning new techniques from smelters, blacksmiths, tanners and tailors Tuareg and Fulani stone. She now focuses on the sculpture as well as teaching art to young people.

Caroline Poulet develops completely free intuitive abstract forms, combining various rigorous techniques such as polyester putty, glue gun... techniques passed by Jaildo Marhino (actor MADI movement). Her initial work was in the form of plaster volume, it quickly turned into resin for durability. White is the color of first choice because it supports light, it captures the modulations and the fluctuating intensities to create a multitude of shades, shapes come alive...

She also searches around the equilibrium or "balance" of the same form in space. Each piece has several control points, they manipulate the infinite. These forms evoke pure geometry (angles, curves, spirals ...), biology (DNA, morphology, plant images, marine components) or even music (drawing notes). It thus produces a series of "planing" forms and offers us a journey to the heart of the matter. Caroline developps for a few years now a panel of strong colors.
