“Photography and me: The man of the art begins a painting, a text, a musical score. I am not starting a photograph. The photographer is confronted with this instantaneousness to end up with the photographic print. "Epreuve", this term itself evokes testing, photographic printing, and even suffering. "Epreuve" subtle junction between time and shooting... until you want to obtain an a-temporal image. Photography, for me, is a conversation with time, because it allows us to retain fragments of reality. It is also transforming the world into a spectacle, and giving it an independent life in the realm of the imagination, thus expanding its duration.

I only really discover my photos on the contact sheet, to flush out this imagination. It is the wonder of what happens. And as Brassaï said “the photographer invents nothing, he imagines everything".

Born in Paris in 1946, has always shown a major interest in photographic expression. It is for him "a way of rewriting reality" with a great attraction for black and white film.

1971 Moves to Tours to practice his medical profession.

1980 Decisive meeting with Lucien CLERGUE at the “Rencontres d'Arles".

From 1981 As part of the Arles meetings, participates in various workshops led by renowned photographers such as Arnold Newman, Joyce Tenneyso, Enrica Koebl, Arnaud Claas, Jean-François Bauret, Leigh Weiner, Jean-François Jonvelle.

1984 Internship “The portrait" at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis Lumière (Paris).

1978-2010 Active member of AGIT (Association des gens d'images de Touraine), which brings together photographer-authors in Touraine.

1990-2014 Responds to certain proposals or various photographic commissions: Photofolies de Touraine, the eye in the image (Amboise), Photographic meetings of Cheb (Czech Republic), Heritage Events ...
