Léon Lang (1899-1983) is a French painter and lithographer, born July 12, 1899 in Paris and died December 18 in Guebwiller. Léon Lang has had a considerable influence on local artistic life. He will be a member of the AIDA group, "Contemporary Art" in Mulhouse and the Salon d'Automne.
In 1946, he created a society of amateurs, the Society Godefroy Engelmann, whose aim is to arouse the interest for graphic works of quality as well in the circle of the amateurs of art and the collectors as with the general public.
