"A few days ago, I punched a 120 cm square of paper on the wall of the studio. Tomorrow, I will paint the 166 th image. If I calculate as it is no longer calculated, that is to say in 24 images per second, I will have a little less than 7 seconds of moving images. Is this reasoning so absurd when one is a painter in 2020?"

"Images, like memories, work on me in time. In the river or the stream that carries them, I bathe like everyone else. I like to go back up the current, as one goes back in one's steps, without melancholy, but to retain something of the past. As if this pendulum movement from one era to another could give meaning to the existence of an image before it drowns in oblivion".

"I remember by sowing disorder in the chronology of my paintings. I edit sequences, I organize cycles of images-answers around questions that come back in a loop. On the fringe or outside the frame, I look for transitions along the way to try to represent myself tomorrow other than in balance on the taut thread of a straight line."
