Sophie Raskopf

Sophie Raskopf is originally from Paris, she now lives and creates in Brussels, and is constantly reinventing herself in art, starting her career in music at Warner and moving on to fashion with Anne Fontaine. After graduating from the School of Realist Art in Stockholm, then a medallist at the Van der Kelen International School of Decorative Painting in Brussels, she finally realized in painting portraits with unusual frames.

A neo-pop art work, with urban influences, while remaining elegant with a touch of haute couture, Sophie's black and white portraits of a disconcerting realism are energetically enhanced with bursts of bright colors.

To conceptualize her large format portraits, Sophie Raskopf focuses her iconographic research on strong faces from different cultures, often with bold and inspiring characters.
