Abstract Artists Working in Earthy Tones

French artists

For several years, the abstract has attracted me, fascinated me, and one day, I dared.

I start by working, alone in my corner, the different sculpture pastes on canvas, always in search of new materials, new techniques as different as they are unusual.

Simple techniques, then more and more complex, the challenge of the new material is motivating, stimulating, it's like a drug.

Then I discovered the resin.

I was immediately fascinated by this new material. I worked on it, made various tests.

It took about 2 years to tame the mixture between the liquid resin and the hardener in order to find the ideal dosage. The color pigments allow the resin to obtain flamboyant shades. The resin is, in itself a great source of inspiration, the glossy finish is extraordinary. The preparation between the liquid resin and the shock of the hardener is the raw product of my creative process, the color pigment has an illuminating role. My work is the result of a controlled conflict without losing sight of the basic concept. Gravity pulls the weight of the liquid resin to the center of the canvas, air bubbles and dust come in and time worsens the hardening. I overcome this rivalry by handling, heating, and guiding the molten flow in a closed and protected area. Victory over these elements is essential to its success. From a mysterious shiny surface, the performance alone allows to encapsulate but also to diffuse light, thus producing an enigmatic explosion between movement and brilliance equivalent to glass.

I sign most of my works on the back, because its interpretation is so unique that each person is free of any imagination. This gives power and a definitive role in its purpose.
