Sandrine Laborde

Born in 1971, Sandrine Laborde painted her first oil canvases in 1996. Self-taught, her passion for painting was born at the age of 11 when she discovered the works of Kandinsky. Fascinated by color and textures, she explored for 25 years the world around her, the visible as well as the invisible from which emotions are born, sometimes a philosophy. Through her paintings, Sandrine offers her vision of the world that she would like to be more colorful, benevolent, joyful. An abstract art, sometimes figurative, between optimism and carefree, accusing from time to time the ugliness and obstacles of life. In 2019, Sandrine starts to work with acrylic. A technique that imposes itself on her with a unique artistic approach where she combines writing and painting, depositing in each canvas a precise message whose unstructured typography blends into the subject of the painting.
