Biography
Clemente Villy ( Livorno Toscana 1923-1999) - A painter with a spontaneous and accessible style, his spiritual mentor was Carlo Domenici.
He effectively represented the popular life of Livorno with his paintbrushes, he participated in many group exhibitions and competitions, achieving success.

Villy Clemente, born in Livorno in 1923, is a painter of Macchiaioli origins, but, as a self-taught artist, he also gained experience in diverse cultural and pictorial environments, in fact, in 1957, he moved to Paris, where he remained for about four years, he participated in the most prestigious art exhibitions, earning awards and mentions.
Throughout his career, he received many praise from art critics.
Antonio Rosano writes: "The remarkable skill and refinement, both in his drawing and in the perfect and pleasing revolution of graffiti in shadow and light, give Clemente's works a clear sense of reality and harmony.
He is a valid and conscientious artist and has the hope of reaching high goals..."
Regarding Villy Clemente, Alfredo Martelli wrote: "With full mastery and rich imagination, his works reveal homogeneity, harmony of tone, construction technique, and perfection, naturally guided by great intelligence, which contributes to the creation of effects of spatial breadth through the intensity of the colors, which follow one another with infinite variations and vibrations, transporting us into the extraordinary suggestion of charm..."
