Kaon Chiba

A member of the Mainichi Shodo Association, a guest artist at the Kanagawa Art Exhibition, and a member of the Japan Poetry and Calligraphy Association, she has developed a unique calligraphic style rich in striking imagery. She received the prestigious Mainichi Award at the Mainichi Shodo Exhibition, Japan's largest public calligraphy competition. Combining her mastery of calligraphy with her sensitivity as a poetic artist and contemporary painter, she creates works of great emotional depth, veritable living paintings. Her works demonstrate a balance between ink and negative space, but above all, a focus on highlighting the strength of her calligraphy.
