Biography

"My life has always been about art. Classes when I was young. Artists in the family. Traveling to Brazil, Argentina, Spain, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Israel, Bosnia, Switzerland, Belgium, much time in the USA, and of course, Mexico. Everywhere, art museums. I started drawing at a very early age, sculpted, painted, and then found myself with the camera."

While in school and continuing afterwards, Diego had many jobs, including delivering newspapers, working in restaurants, driving trucks, and all types of sales. However, he never stopped taking pictures. Something that proved to be his inspiration. It was the time Diego spent in Chicago with the artist/photographer Darryll Schiff.

"I was very lucky. Here is an artist with pictures in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago who rarely works one on one with someone. He taught me to look at my subject and not to worry about the camera. ''You must develop your own artistic vision. Look and feel. Art first. The technique will come.'' Darryll would keep saying. Diego's success is evident and now he is the one making an impact on younger photographers.
