Albaba was born in Jerusalem in 1984. He studied at the Visual Arts Forum in Ramallah from 2008–2010 and later at the International Academy of Art Palestine, graduating in 2015. His family's displacement during the 1948 Nakba strongly influences his practice, particularly his recurring fish motif, which represents his family's connection to the sea and his broader reflections on homeland. Albaba's life and work are closely connected to Al-Amari Refugee Camp, where he established his studio in 2011 and developed much of his artistic practice.
