Jin Eui Kim is from South Korea. Right from the beginning of his studies, he began to specialize in ceramics. He studied this material in Australia, at Tasmania University, and then moved to England where he obtained a Masters degree, followed by a PHD in ceramics from the Cardiff School of Art and Design. Today, the artist is based in Cardiff and has joined Fireworks Clay Studio.
The artistic research of the artist has turned towards illusion and color. The circular strips affixed on his ceramic objects, question the eye and perception, through the subtle variation of shades.
His work has been awarded several times, he has also done several exhibitions in Europe, Australia and South Korea.
