Juliette de la Happy Funky Family

Switzerland • 1971

Biography

Juliette is an eternal nomad, traveling from her earliest childhood in very contrasting countries such as the former USSR, Côte d'Ivoire, the United Arab Emirates, Pondicherry in India, New York, Lisbon, Paris, Singapore...

Juliette has accumulated a rich collection of experiences and a pronounced taste for discovery and the exoticism found in her works. She now lives between Basel and Lisbon.

Juliette studied art history at the Sorbonne University and painting with the famous art professor Patrice de Pracontal in Paris and at the Lasalle School of Fine Arts in Singapore. She works in acrylic on cardboard or wood and Indian ink on rice paper.

Her favorite themes are human relations, the place of women in our society and the relationship between man and nature.

Juliette fascinates us with her relationship to nature, her sometimes exuberant colors and her unique faces reminiscent of tribal masks.

Aware of environmental issues, Juliette uses her moving boxes as a support for her portraits. A very personal way of inviting us into his world…
