Love&U Group
Glass in Art has traditionally been used to impress upon the viewer the strength and colour of the message imparted. Stained glass in the great Cathedrals represented the majesty of heaven portrayed in a manner meant to stun and awe the humble viewer with its representation of the greatness of God.
Love &U Group has embraced the technique of painting onto the back of plexiglass to give the subjects light and clarity that would not be possible on straight canvas. Gentle touch of the brush is giving extreme delicacy to the artworks. This translucence brings an energy to the works that relays a sense of an almost film and motion-like quality, and enhances the tones so that they are colder or warmer in the extremes.
Love&U Group brings an almost documentary or advertising look to the scene. In portraying and projecting famous actors, politicians and icons onto glass, Love&U Group produces art that is a record of the moment, like a modern camera obscura, helping us to appreciate his stunning contemporary artistic message.
