Andriy Chyzhov

The leading genre of Andriy Chyzhov's work is landscape.  The artist's works deviate from the exact copying of nature and detailing of objects, deep symbolism and generalization of images, revealing through the landscape of philosophical concepts of transience of human existence, the role of man in the universe, the greatness and power of nature compared to everyday worries.

A characteristic feature of the artist's works is the introduction into the composition of elements of Ukrainian traditional ornament as an organic component of the existence of the Ukrainian people in their ethnic lands.
