Presentation

David Schab is a passionate Polish-born painter who lives and works in Bristol, United Kingdom. He has exhibited his work in Poland, Great Britain, and Italy. Schab's artworks can be found in many private collections in Europe, America, South Africa and Asia.

Influenced by Matisse, Gauguin, Hockney and Fauvism in general, he holds colours at the heart of his work, painting light-filled landscapes, colourful still lifes, portraits and everyday scenes. David Schab works with oil paints and pastels. He has developed his own vocabulary of much-repeated objects like Moka pots, fruits, or mugs. The bright colours and bold simplifications have become Schab's trademark.

Schab has been known to go above and beyond for a good cause. He has donated many of his artworks to charity fundraising auctions, in particular to those helping seriously ill children.
