Description
Indifferent to the Evidence is a limited edition fine art print that explores Tony Gallo's surreal narrative language through a quiet yet unsettling scene. Two hybrid figures stand back to back beneath an oversized leaf, surrounded by lush, oversized vegetation and saturated colors. One character performs a card trick, revealing a heart, while the other discreetly reaches into a pocket — a subtle choreography of trust, distraction, and unseen gestures.
The composition unfolds like a contemporary fable. Gallo's signature figures, halfway between human and totemic beings, inhabit a suspended world where innocence and ambiguity coexist. The protective leaf above their heads becomes a fragile shelter, while the blazing sun in the background amplifies the sense of emotional exposure. Every element feels symbolic: the cards, the hidden hand, the exaggerated flora — all hinting at themes of denial, vulnerability, and selective perception.
Rendered in vibrant tones and soft gradients, the work blends street-born aesthetics with painterly sensitivity. invites the viewer to question what is visible, what is ignored, and how easily attention can be diverted from essential truths.
This piece is released as a limited edition of 200, each copy signed and numbered by the artist.
Presentation
Tony Gallo (Padua, 1975), after a background in music, has been dedicated to painting since 2008, developing a personal language closely connected to street art. His dreamlike figurative style, populated by masks and totemic figures with both animal and human features, gives life to suspended worlds poised between melancholy and desire.
In his works, instinctive gesture and controlled composition coexist in a balance that transforms walls into dream-spaces inhabited by poetic and recognizable characters. The vibrant colors and the emotional dimension of his mark make his art deeply empathetic. He lives and works in Padua, bringing his murals and projects across Italy and abroad.
