Description
This captivating work juxtaposes a white paper airplane and a bright red heart against a backdrop of blue hues. The heart, visibly melted, evokes intense emotion, its red contrasting powerfully with the surrounding cool hues. The paper airplane appears to be in motion, symbolizing freedom and hope in the face of an emotional torrent. The flowing, dripping lines of the blue backgrounds create a dynamic and melancholic atmosphere, reminiscent of a rain of memories or feelings. This striking contrast between the elements highlights the duality between human fragility and the desire for escape. The artist masters color and form to deliver a poignant message about love and desire, engaging the viewer to explore the complexity of human emotions.
Presentation
Jordi Thaïs aka Vast, is an artist from the Reunion Islands. Initially he developed his style as a graffiti artist in his homeland. Following this, he studied at the Art School in Reunion islands.
However, his universe is still influenced by street art. His compositions are meticulous constructions made up of geometric forms which allude to cinder blocks. With this rather natural assembly, the artist includes one or several hearts each time with some poetry. " The heart questions everybody but in a different manner and nobody sees the same thing, it's quite interesting because I don't convey the messages of my paintings, I listen to others do it", says the artist.
