Description
This original oil on paper work unfolds a scene that is both refined and poetic. The nude body, drawn with fine and sensitive lines, rests in a space deliberately left suspended, while a few red clouds float above, in contrast with the sobriety of the background. The light and vibrant material of the paint reveals the texture of the paper, giving the composition an almost tactile intimacy.
The viewer is invited to enter into a silent dialogue with the figure depicted: a moment of calm, pierced by a subtle disquiet. This minimalist and expressive work will naturally find its place both in a contemporary interior and in a private collection seeking unique and sensitive pieces.

Presentation
Shen Jia (born 1983) is a contemporary artist who works primarily with painting. Her works focus on the impact of social change on people's inner state and emotions in the context of globalization, as well as on the city, historical memory, and contemporary identity. The artist substitutes personal experiences and fictional imagination for her works, thus showing the relationship between life, art, and the self. She currently lives and works in Nanjing, China.
