This vibrant still life captures a moment of domestic simplicity through a bold, expressive lens. The composition centers on two glass vessels resting upon a richly patterned textile. Thick brushstrokes create a tactile surface. Colors collide with raw energy. Deep violets and electric blues contrast sharply against warm ochre and fiery reds.
The artist rejects traditional perspective in favor of a flattened, rhythmic space. Light does not merely fall upon the objects; it vibrates through them. The glass bottles appear translucent yet solid, anchoring the swirling chaos of the background. Scattered garlic bulbs add organic shapes to the geometric intensity of the fabric.
Every stroke feels intentional and urgent. The artwork balances the stillness of the subject with the restlessness of the execution. It transforms a humble table setting into a study of color theory and emotional intensity. The play of complementary hues generates a visual tension that keeps the eye moving across the canvas. The scene concludes with a series of fragmented, linear marks that suggest a blurred architectural horizon.
Presentation
Tetyana Shulyak was born in Donetsk, but spent her whole life in the city of Kremenchuk. She studied at an art school, then graduated from the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg, majoring in art history. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine. He currently works at the Kremenchug Children's Art School, where he teaches art history. Participates in all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions.
Good basic training and active creative activity (participation in many international exhibitions) formed the creative personality and original style of the artist Tetiana Shulyak - a modern interpretation of the "modern" style. She boldly combines bright colors, creates contrasting combinations. The artist's works leave an impression of completeness and thoughtfulness, and a joyful aftertaste of a celebration of life, color and movement. It is interesting that Tetyana Shulyak chooses her dominant color range for each work, sometimes enhancing the sound of the color, and sometimes dividing it into many additional shades, which, together with careful strokes, become like a mosaic.
