Marcelo Mendonça

Brazil Born in: 1972

Marcelo Mendonça was born in Salvador, Bahia (BR), post-graduate in design and art direction in Salvador and Madrid.

Marcelo trained in accounting at Cairu University and did post-graduation in graphic design at the Faculty of Salvador (FACS). During university he worked as a Cartunista for the CEAS Magazine (Center for Studies and Social Action) in Salvador-BA.

With his posters, he went on to create design projects for theater and music artists, developing as a graphic designer and photographer, when he finally began to create projects in visual arts for his own exhibitions with the mixed use of photography, graphic design and painting.

His career is marked by social commitment, in constant activities and projects. In 2002 he did an artistic residency at Grupo India / Gruppo Trullo-Roma Italia In 2003 he entered the observational design course at the Bahia Museum of Modern Art (MAM) and at the encouragement of his teacher, the plastic artist Isa Muniz, he molded his style to the concept of contemporary art.

In 2009 he studied photography at the House of Photography in Salvador-Ba He moves to Spain in 2012.
