The days are sometimes terrible, tender, or calm, such are also the Men. The future is an eternal uncertainty guardian of our hopes, from this observation was born 'Lady Day', the incarnation of tomorrows. The feminine representation attributes to her the motherhood, the gentleness and the refinement of the one who carries within herself the dreams that Men have entrusted to her. But its disproportions inspire fear, it is an unfathomable unknown, frozen and mute. 'Lady Day' means that she has a title of nobility and is called *Day*; a name that holds in check, just as the uncertainty of tomorrow holds in check the human desire to control everything. Art is a field that offers the possibility of handling this unknown, it is also a prolific and captivating field for its utopian, dystopian fictions or other proofs that there is good in ignoring everything about tomorrows ; 'Lady Day' is therefore the friend that it is pleasant to keep mysterious, and that it is pleasant to fear...

She has sometimes been disappointing, or the creator of beautiful surprises. The uncertainty of tomorrow allows us to dream, to exchange, and to build together, which makes it a painting encouraging the viewer to forge social bonds, to always be interested in the courses that the present sets, to be cautious, but also to sometimes provoke luck. The painting is produced using the technique that the artist calls *graphic bursting* which transforms the material, it is then solid, liquid and gaseous, opaque and transparent, achievable and unrealizable, all at the same time. It is neither probable nor improbable, it is transformed, new. For paintings with a reduced format, the images obtained then have the advantage of acquiring a higher level of resolution than using traditional techniques. This liquid, hazy graphic style is like a cloud that hangs over the past and will present itself in one form or another every day. The timeless link is also supported by the use of monochrome which allows the viewer's imagination to interpret the presence of day and night as well as the infinity of colors. The 29.7 by 42 centimeter format is suitable for display in different locations. Apart from its decorative role it can participate in the education of the youngest because art allows feelings to be given form, Zeus can for example appear as injustice and great power like his lightning; in this he participates in the prudence of those who know his image. 'Lady Day' sits on the border between abstract and figurative art. The painting is offered without a frame since it will make the transition with the buyer's already existing decoration. The paper used is 300g/M2 multi-technical, the painting is done on the fine grain, the back side with line grain is not used. 'Lady Day' and 'The Bridge of Ages' are paintings, by the same artist, which commonly have two universal subjects, time and the self.

If it was sometimes necessary to cross 'The Bridge of Ages' above the currents or taking advantage of the gentle breezes, it was 'Lady Day' which was the reason. It should be noted that they are created with the same graphic processing. Both address the past and future transformations of any individual confronted with time, one represents the trophy that has been won over life, the other represents the adversary seen as a friend seen as an adversary. These are two beneficial forms of time; this is why the artist judges that they have the same value.

Merljn, the Artist of Harmonies.

Merljn is an artist who has taken a scientific approach to art, exploring the mixing of mediums, techniques, choice of medium and composition with deliberate intention. For him, beauty obeys laws, and the tools offered to artists form an obvious or undiscovered panel, requiring careful ordering.

His journey led him to unlearn to achieve authenticity, following the adage “know thyself". A spirit strongly opposed to constraint, boredom, mediocrity, lack of clarity about his work and the incomprehension of the spectator, he involuntarily followed in the footsteps of his predecessors. Rediscovering pointillism, naive painting, carbon copying, destructuring, science fiction or the imprecise approach, his main ideas have always been to take pleasure in what he does and to "rediscover the universe".

His progress was long and difficult. When a technique or way of representing had nothing more to offer and he did not find the exaltation he was looking for, it was up to the next one to move on. Being authentic also means renouncing what we dislike, especially if we had hopes of happiness there. Many times he wanted to stop everything.

Today, he thinks that his graphic art is not something that could occupy him every day from morning to evening. He is not looking for a technique that satiates him, but rather artistic variety. As in cooking, it is good to vary, not to be greedy, nor to die of hunger. Perhaps he is a wise artist.

He offered a lot of his works and, on principle, had never sold any. They are scattered all over the world, among the rich and the poor. Still others are used to fuel the barbecue fire. His opinion on the prices of his art is simple: if he needs money, he sells, otherwise, he offers. These are two facets of shared happiness.

His civil identity and details of his private life are not communicated. He sometimes tells by the fire that he once made a mistake in a spell, now finding himself stuck in St Tropez in a rejuvenated body, and that Arthur will know nothing about it. But that's another story...
