It is a work appreciable by anyone, but nevertheless reserved for the initiated.

The words of the title enlighten neophyte viewers on the concepts present in the painting. The detailed initiation is dense, technical, but profitable for those who know it. There she is. The ingredients of beauty include: symmetry which is present in 99% of animals, proportions which are often linked to the golden ratio, chaos, energy which is understandable in the subject's morphology, connection to the earth and in the sun, the occupation of space, the color, the homogeneity which is perceived by the textures, and the singularity; when they are combined the subject gains access to a rich aesthetic. Based on these ingredients, everyone can better appreciate the beauty of the world and the universe, the artist can create new forms.

In this painting, the coloring plays with the black and white contrast; the symmetry is reflected in the division of the paper by the white; the singularity is discerned by the distribution of the black mass in the spaces then split. Energy shows up in the way matter arises; chaos reveals itself through its forms. The use of space is represented by the acrylic reliefs. The connection to Earth's gravity can be seen in the flows. The homogeneity is found in the materials used, all shiny - wax, graphite, pure acrylic, pure Indian ink, ink, gum arabic (which allows you to obtain reflective shades from black to white). These shiny materials offer the most intense blacks, marking the link to light and the sun. Finally, the proportions of the paper are based on √2, allowing, by folding it in half, to obtain rectangles with the same proportions as the original rectangle; a particularity that does not offer the golden rectangle which, moreover, is almost identical, it has a side approximately 1/5 different; a relationship between these two rectangles that we can see in the expression of the golden ratio (1+√5)/2... it's a sleight of hand.

This painting is not an ode to beauty opposed to ugliness. It is rather a graphic study whose relevance can be assessed by removing one of the ingredients; it lies on the border between art and scientific demonstration. Chaos takes up virtually all space, which is easiest to create; the lowering of the price of the work is based on this observation, although its design process is complex. But this simplicity of execution only detracts from its value part of the sale price, because it opens access to a captivating process of artistic creation that the spectator can feel in the way of painting, the energy of the painter transmitted to the subjects was mentioned in the previous paragraph.

In conclusion, this is a painting that can be described as refined and raw at the same time; she praises the simplicity and pleasure of painting while creating a gateway to beauty in general. Its artistic value lies mainly in its approach to Beauty. It has the decorative qualities that one can usually look for in an abstract work, or in a monochrome, suitable for being exhibited in different places thanks to a reduced format. Also, it is alive, its particularity of reflecting light makes it change with the seasons and times of the day. Thanks to its symmetrical construction, it is entirely possible to modify its orientation according to the wishes of its owner. Apart from its decorative role, it encourages the viewer towards the simple pleasures of life and to be ecstatic about the world.

The title and signature, discreet, done in black ink, are integrated at the bottom, in the center, in the continuity of a symmetrical intention.

The paper used is 300g/m2 multi-technique, the upper edge has been manually recut with scissors by the artist. The painting is done on the fine-grained front side, the line-grained back side is not used.

For now, this collection of paintings is offered in this format only. Later, it is possible that it will continue in other sizes, according to the same proportions.

The sale price is also a symmetrical element, it was chosen to enter **beautifully** into the game of collectors and the growing popularity of artists, without which its author would have put it on sale more expensively (around 15,000 €); this is why the price in this collection is not negotiable.

The shipment will be made by post, parcel with acknowledgment of receipt which will be prepared and shipped on the day of the order. A maximum period of three months before delivery is indicated for safety reasons, in the event of an accident by the artist or natural disasters. The painting will be accompanied by an envelope containing the certificate of authenticity handwritten by the artist. A rigid frame and several foams protection will be installed in the package.

Merljn, the Artist of Harmonies.

Merljn is an artist who has taken a scientific approach to art, exploring the mixing of mediums, techniques, choice of medium and composition with deliberate intention. For him, beauty obeys laws, and the tools offered to artists form an obvious or undiscovered panel, requiring careful ordering.

His journey led him to unlearn to achieve authenticity, following the adage “know thyself". A spirit strongly opposed to constraint, boredom, mediocrity, lack of clarity about his work and the incomprehension of the spectator, he involuntarily followed in the footsteps of his predecessors. Rediscovering pointillism, naive painting, carbon copying, destructuring, science fiction or the imprecise approach, his main ideas have always been to take pleasure in what he does and to "rediscover the universe".

His progress was long and difficult. When a technique or way of representing had nothing more to offer and he did not find the exaltation he was looking for, it was up to the next one to move on. Being authentic also means renouncing what we dislike, especially if we had hopes of happiness there. Many times he wanted to stop everything.

Today, he thinks that his graphic art is not something that could occupy him every day from morning to evening. He is not looking for a technique that satiates him, but rather artistic variety. As in cooking, it is good to vary, not to be greedy, nor to die of hunger. Perhaps he is a wise artist.

He offered a lot of his works and, on principle, had never sold any. They are scattered all over the world, among the rich and the poor. Still others are used to fuel the barbecue fire. His opinion on the prices of his art is simple: if he needs money, he sells, otherwise, he offers. These are two facets of shared happiness.

His civil identity and details of his private life are not communicated. He sometimes tells by the fire that he once made a mistake in a spell, now finding himself stuck in St Tropez in a rejuvenated body, and that Arthur will know nothing about it. But that's another story...
