Description
This artwork presents a striking minimalist seascape dominated by ethereal, cascading blues that evoke a sense of vastness and solitude. A towering curtain of soft, vertical brushstrokes fills the canvas, suggesting a tranquil rain or the endless expanse of the sky, seamlessly blending with the horizon. At the canvas's base, a diminutive boat confronts the sweeping expanse of water and sky, becoming a focal point that underscores the human experience of insignificance amidst nature's grandeur. The subtle use of color and texture in the lower part—delicate purples and blues—captures the sea's gentle undulations, while the diminutive red accent of the boat adds a poignant contrast. Presentation
Ignacio Clemente was born in Zorita de los Molinos-Mingorría, Ávila, in 1953. He graduated in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the University of Barcelona in 1984 and pursued postgraduate studies (doctorate in Philosophy), although he did not submit his dissertation, at the UNED (1995-1998). He also completed a Master’s degree in Educational Computing at the UNED (1998-2001). Between 2018, he studied Drawing and Painting at the Rodrigo Alemán school of fine arts in Plasencia.
