Vincent Vandal is a limited edition print by US street artist Mr. Brainwash and is available in Germany exclusively only at Frank fluegel galerie. The motif alludes to the famous painting “Bedroom in Arles" by Vincent van Gogh. A three-dimensional replica of the Van Gogh room is also available at the Mr. Brainwash Art Museum in Los Angeles. The edition is reworked by hand, so that each sheet again unique character. There will be exclusive editions several times a year in the near future, each of which will be published only at one gallery in the country concerned. The art collector can clearly recognize which gallery in the respective country has been working most closely and longest with the artist Mr. Brainwash. Frank fluegel galerie was the first gallery in Germany, Austria and Switzerland to represent Mr. Brainwash and organize exhibitions in 2010.

In the Vincent Vandal Edition, a graffiti sprayer in typical clothing in a hoodie sits on a chair in the bedroom of the artist Vincent Van Gogh. The bridge between old and new art, street art. In the background you can see spray cans, brushes and paint buckets. Of course, the respirator mask is not missing, which graffiti artists today almost all wear at work. On closer inspection, one also discovers some of the typical Banksy rats as a stencil on the wall. Of course, the famous Balloon Girl may not be missing. On the small oil painting in the background is “Exit Through the Giftshop" an allusion to the successful and award-winning documentary film about Banksy, directed by Thierry Guetta. If you look long enough, you'll also find Jean-Michel Basquiat's signature crown in the graffiti on the wall.

Vincent van Gogh's bedroom in Arles: a masterpiece of colors and emotions.

The template for the Mr. Brainwash Vincent Vandal Edition is one of Vincent van Gogh's most famous paintings – his bedroom in Arles. This iconic work not only captures the beauty of a simple bedroom, but also shows van Gogh's unique style and deep emotions. Let's dive into the world of this masterpiece. The painting “Bedroom in Arles" was created by Vincent van Gogh in 1888. It shows the bedroom in his yellow house in Arles, southern France. Van Gogh painted the picture three times, with subtle differences in each painting. The work we know today is in the collection of the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. Van Gogh was known for his expressive and powerful painting style, which is clearly expressed in this painting. He used bold, bright colors to capture the atmosphere of the room. The furniture and objects in the bedroom are simplified and geometrically rendered, giving the painting a sense of abstraction. Van Gogh also used short, visible brushstrokes to create movement and energy.

“Bedroom in Arles" is not only a simple image of a bedroom, but also reflects van Gogh's inner world. The painting was done during a time when the artist was struggling with psychological problems. The intense colors and the restless depiction of the room could be interpreted as an expression of his inner turmoil and desire for peace and stability. This painting had an enormous impact on the art world and became a symbol of van Gogh's unique style and emotional depth. It inspired numerous artists and became one of the most famous works in art history. The depiction of the bedroom as a place of tranquility and retreat has also gained universal significance and speaks to many people on a personal level. Vincent van Gogh's “Bedroom in Arles" is a masterpiece that not only captures the beauty of a simple bedroom, but also expresses van Gogh's unique style and deep emotions. With its vibrant colors and expressive brushstrokes, this painting has had a lasting impact on the art world and has become a symbol of van Gogh's artistic legacy. It is a work that invites us to immerse ourselves in the artist's world and explore his innermost thoughts and feelings.

Life is Beautiful! This sentence, which became the main theme of all Mr. Brainwash artworks, is also processed in the Vincent Vandal Edition. Mr. Brainwash – Life is Beautiful was the title of the first exhibition of Thierry Guetta (MBW), but it is also the positive message that is often processed in his works.
Thierry Guetta, street and pop artist, known by the nickname “Mr. Brainwash", is now considered one of the most famous artists of street art. Positive, smiling and cheerful, the artist aims to convey joy and positive messages of love through his artwork.
His first exhibition in 2008, titled “Life is Beautiful," took place in a 15,000 square foot complex on Hollywood's famous Sunset Boulevard with three hundred unique pieces, sculptures and prints. Among them was a life-like replica of Edward Hopper's Nighthawks. To organize his first exhibition, Mr. Brainwash used all his savings and mortgaged his house.

The exhibition was inaugurated on June 16, 2008 and was immediately an extraordinary success, both for the critics and the public.
In this solo exhibition, the enigmatic French artist showed artworks and unique pieces with writings such as “Love is the Answer", “Follow Your Dreams" and “Life is Beautiful".
His originals featuring Albert Einstein, Mickey Mouse and Charlie Chaplin, or Kate Moss were an extraordinary success, and the artist's efforts were richly rewarded. His first solo exhibition quickly sold out. Also the exhibitions at Frank fluegel galerie in Nuremberg/Germany and Kitzbuehel/Austria were each time completely “Sold Out" after a few weeks.

From this moment on, Thierry Guetta's fame continues to grow and he becomes one of the most popular street artists. With spray can and stencils (stencils), Mr. Brainwash makes colorful images, such as Vincent Vandal.

In 2009, Mr. Brainwash worked with the most important singers such as Michael Jackson, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Madonna. For the singer, the artist realized the cover of her album “Celebration".
In 2010 he gained new fame with the Banksy film “Exit Through the Gift Shop". The documentary made with Banksy is presented at the Sundance Film Festival. The success was enormous and the film was nominated for an Oscar.
Over the years, the slogan “Life is Beautiful" has also taken shape in the sculpture of Mr. Brainwash and public murals.

Hardly any other street artist has experienced a comparably rapid rise as the Frenchman Thierry Guetta aka Mr. Brainwash, born in 1966 in Garges-lès-Gonesse. His path to becoming the most successful artist of recent years is closely linked to the name Banksy and his Oscar-winning film Exit Through the Gift Shop: In this documentary, Banksy encourages Guetta, who was still unknown at the time, to become active as an artist himself under the pseudonym Mr. Brainwash.

Mr Brainwash, the pseudonym for Thierry Guetta was born near Paris, in Sarcelles in 1966. At the age of 15, he moved to Los Angeles with his father, brothers, and sisters after their mother passed away. A video maker and pop art artist, his works are mostly in stencil or graffiti.

He took lessons at Fairfax High school for about a year but dropped out of high school to organize Hollywood events. The artist began selling vintage clothes in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami.

Mr Brainwash had a ticking in 1999 for street art, during a trip to France to visit his cousin, Space Invader, a Parisian street artist. He has a passion for video and therefore began filming all the breaks, accompanied by other street artists, like Shepard Fairey or Wevs. At this moment, the videos weren't meant to be seen. He began graffiti and became Mr Brainwash. His universe is made up of Banksy's stencils and images of Andy Warhol.

In 2009, he met the British artist Banksy and helps him launch his exhibition: Barely Legal in Los Angeles, this event attracted celebrities and art dealers. The two artists decided to realize a documentary on the world of street artists, which was a mystery up till now. The images which were shot before were then shown along with Invader, Banksy, and Mr Brainwash.

Due to this collaboration, the doc-fiction “Exit Through the Gift Shop" (ou Faites le Mur !) was born, nominated for an Oscar, presented in 2010 at the Sundance Film Festival. The film presents the meteoric rise of Mr. Brainwash on the street art scene, and his works being sold for phenomenal sums, like his Jim Morrison portrait sold for 100 000 $ or Charlie Chaplin for 50 000 $. After the movie's success, Mr Brainwash's work becomes much more popular.

But the story can be seen the other way around. It was shown that Mr Brainwash isn't a fictitious character, he did put together the movie. The fiction caught up with reality, making Mr Brainwash a true actor in the art industry.
