Weber Zhang

Weber ZHANG, Illustrator, and business owner, graduated from the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.

Previously signed with Illustration Web, contracted artist for Marvel Comics. Also serves as a commissioned illustrator for Visual China. Has conducted lectures and workshops at various institutions including Shanghai Art Museum K5, the Mexico Pavilion at the World Expo, Communication University of China, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and more. Featured in publications such as "Hand-painted Passwords" and "Chinese Comics - Selected Works of 100 Illustrators" by Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House, as well as TASCHEN's "Illustration Now" annuals. 

Achievements include: 2014 Cannes Lions Gold Award, CLIO Awards Gold, Spikes Asia Gold Award, London International Awards Bronze. 2015 Penguin Audio Book Series illustrations collected by the Hamburg Museum of Art, Exhibitions at Shanghai Comic-Con, Joy City Shanghai, and Today Art Museum Beijing. Invited speaker at Adobe Creative Cloud China in 2016. 2017 Red Dot Design Award for Proost Beer Packaging. Exhibition at the Quesnel-Morinière Museum in France in 2019. Special Award for Drawing at the 2020 ART CAPITAL International Salon in Paris. Hans Christian Andersen Art Award in 2023. Bronze Award from the French Artists' Salon Association at the 2024 ART CAPITAL International Salon in Paris. 2024 Carrousel du Louvre ART SHOPPING International Contemporary Art Fair, France. Hans Christian Andersen Art Award in 2024. ART MUC International Contemporary Art Fair in Munich, Germany.The Prix Spécial du Salon at the 2025 Salon dessin et peinture à l'eau exhibition at the Grand Palais, and the Silver Award and Merit Award at the 23rd 3x3 International Illustration Show in the USA. He also delivered a Master Demonstration at the Hong Kong Animation-Comic-Game Expo (ACG HK) in July 2025 and participated in the Shanghai Illustration Art Festival (GAF) in August 2025.
