Nelson Fabiano

Nelson Fabiano was born in 1973 in Portugal. He lives and works in Cannes.

A photographer and plastic artist, he uses a variety of topics in his work. He likes playing with the material, lines and colors.
Emptiness plays a main role in his pieces, which can be appreciated by the heavy mood of some of his collection of paintings. He paints, sofas, armchairs, deserted rooms and other places familiar to man, who seems to have abandoned his paintings.
Nelson Fabiano uses as well pictures of big cities that he has taken along his life. He submits his photographs to several modifications with paint, reliefs and adds collages to it etc. His favorite colors are gray, white and red. His urban paintings have a North American influence and are often reminiscent of New York.
Fabiano works as well on portrays of celebrities of the 2000s, whose final composition usually have a style similar to Pop art. Relief if essential in his work. He adds depth and material to his paintings.
