Pière Baldi

Originally from the Basque Country, Pierre Baldi benefited from the first rudiments of a meticulous technique thanks to his father, himself a painter, who instilled in him the precious notion of work.

Impressionist in his early days, he wanted to go further in pictorial creation so as not to be dependent on nature alone, and if drawing remained the basis of his work, he long ago replaced matter with effects of transparency which captivate the eye.
