"My work is a dialogue between manga culture and pop art: emotions drawn with the boldness and energy of Asia."
Biography
Chainarong Lerdsirabavonchai, better known as SOS, is a major Thai pop artist based in Bangkok. A unique figure on the contemporary art scene, he has developed an immediately recognizable universe, blending pop aesthetics, Asian iconography, and traditional techniques inherited from his academic training.
His approach is based on a vibrant visual language, nourished by Thai urban culture, the codes of international pop art, and a constant search for balance between modernity and local heritage. This artistic signature has gradually made SOS a rising star on the Asian scene, sought after by collectors looking for expressive, playful, and deeply personal works.
Trained at the Department of Fine Arts of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, he refined his mastery of drawing and color very early on, skills which would become the foundation of his style.
