Toufik Berramdane

Born in 1964, Toufik Berramdane is an artist whose practice spans several media, including painting, photography, collage, sculpture, and artist's books. Born in North Africa, he arrived in Paris as a child and exhibited early on at the Centre Pompidou and the Arab World Institute. He then developed an international career, notably in the United States where he lived and worked for over fifteen years, before settling in Morocco in 2007. His work has been presented at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington, D.C., as well as at the Villa des Arts in Rabat, which dedicated a retrospective to him.
