The visual artist turns, presses, incises, flows, sculpts the earth in a search for pure and graphic geometric shapes oscillating between the accuracy of the line and the complexity of a refined surface. She implements a work of goldsmith to give her containers textures evoking the skin of a reptile, an embroidered fabric or even a vegetal braiding - basketry.
Having invented her own manufacturing processes and imagined tools that meet her objectives, the ceramist manages to make clay an elegant mesh, sometimes openwork like a fishnet. The patterns thus created are reminiscent of the Art Deco movement, a great source of inspiration for the artist. The great ancient cities, the architecture are part of his references; just like the vegetal and the mineral which are observed at length, bringing ideas of volumes and of course textures. His remarkable work on color gives his pieces a unique presence. Matt surfaces rub shoulders with shiny surfaces made using precious materials such as gold or platinum.

The ceramist handles stoneware with skill and subtlety to model useful objects with great poetic power. Hélène Morbu develops a rigorous process around simple geometric shapes on which she projects meticulous technique and know-how. She develops a vocabulary of the line in creations of infinity and subtlety which suppose as much to be looked at as to be touched. The line gives body and life to the material enhanced by the addition of pigments or practices such as enamelling. Hélène Morbu revisits ceramics in a refined universe with the motif of the line that gives rhythm to unique creations.
