Presentation
Jordy Le Bruchec is an artist whose works are distinguished by their assertive personality and their easily perceptible originality. Each painting he creates is an invitation to free our imagination and our sensitivity, thus letting reasoning reason gradually give way. Through his art, he invites us to enter a different world, which he calls himself "exo-world".
This fascinating world is carefully balanced by Jordy Le Bruchec, who pays great attention to the harmonies of colors and shapes present in each of his canvases. The influences of his past experiences have deeply marked his artistic work. First of all, the maritime universe played a major role in his life, having lived near the sea in Sète, Barcelona and Costa Rica. These influences are reflected in his paintings dominated by bluish hues, intensified by acrylic paint. However, these "aquatic" canvases are populated by sea creatures (squid, jellyfish, shrimp) and monstrous animals, as well as vermiform forms. Even when his works seem to play solely on different color tones and play of light, the abundance of the digital world and the weirdness of video games are never far away.
The second major influence which shines through the sensitivity of the artist is that of the dense forest, in particular the jungle which he discovered in French Guiana. Jungle-inspired creepers get lost and intertwine in blue-tinted tableaux, sometimes converging on a point of light. Some of his works recall the details of cross-stitch embroidery, while others abound with vermiform shapes in strange colors.
Each painting by Jordy Le Bruchec has its own colors, its unique composition and its singular originality. Each of them represents a particular opening through which the viewer can access a world that can be described as supra-human, located outside and above the human. By exploring the creations of Jordy Le Bruchec, we are transported to captivating artistic horizons, where imagination and sensitivity meet to shape an "exo-world" imbued with charm and mystery.
