To the south of this intracontinental and inland sea lie the beaches of the former GDR. Between forests and sea, the white sand beach stretches for hundreds of kilometers only punctuated by old seaside resorts. Not very salty, with a very low tidal coefficient and very polluted, it nevertheless welcomes many holidaymakers every summer.
