Françoise Decorse's paintings give way to an abstract expression where the geometric figure, the purity of the forms, the performative balance of the colours, the imaginary and the unusual participate in the identity of her work. The compositions follow a logical process where the cadenced forms allow the expression of right, rounded or broken angles in a dynamic movement. The symmetrical modular variations, between repetition and declension, permute. The vibrations of the motif invite projection beyond the symbol. The effect of relief produces a sensation of depth, elaborating a crossing of the gaze to the world that is inscribed in space and time. The circular shape, which could be similar to a mandala, reinforces the impression of a cycle, of unchanging time.
