Horst Münch (born November 17, 1951 in Nuremberg) is a German painter, sculptor, photographer, author and video artist.

Horst Münch wanted to become a painter from the age of five. In 1966, he began taking photos and shooting Super 8 and 16mm films. In 1974, he made the film Upholidated with his friends, presented in 1976 at the Hof International Film Days. In 1975, Münch entered the Academy of Fine Arts in Düsseldorf under Alfonso Hüppi. In 1977 he exhibited fabric sculptures for the first time at Felix Handschin in Basel, then at Alfred Schmela in Düsseldorf in 1979. After the latter's sudden death there was a collaboration with Rolf Ricke in Cologne and, at from 1983, with Hans Strelow in Düsseldorf, who took care of the picturesque work. From 1986, Philippe Casini exhibited his works in Paris. After Anke Schmidt took over the Rolf Ricke Gallery in 2005, first together with Iris Maczollek, Horst Münch's works were exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions.
