Ahmed Boubker

Originally from Morocco, I discovered the world of art with a sheikh who initially taught me theology. He was an artist himself. He noticed my interest in his creations and introduced me to several disciplines; paintings, sculpture (stone, marble and wood), creation and manufacturing of jewelry.

I started drawing landscapes at 13, then animals. At 25, I instinctively turned to abstract painting. Thanks to her, I can express my feelings. Abstraction is by far the best way for me to communicate. I create abstract compositions in painting, drawing, sculpture, using a variety of techniques and mediums. During my creative process, I am not afraid to evolve my works because each of them tells its own story. I do not hesitate to question my act of creation and to question it.

Self-awareness, ancient writings, literature, philosophy and nature nourish me and enrich my works. The delicacy of life and thought, the authenticity of our emotions, the flowing temporality, the quest for oneself and the discovery of the other are also subjects of inspiration and meditation for me.
