

Biography
Medra, born in 1972 in Vitry-sur-Seine, is a French artist renowned in the graffiti and street art scene. Trained at an advertising school, he discovered the hip-hop movement in the early 1990s, which profoundly influenced his artistic path. His first graffiti pieces were created alongside his friend “Deart," also known as Daddy Morry from the reggae group Raggasonic.
Over time, Medra developed a distinctive style, working across various media such as posters, logos, album covers, and stage decorations. His work has been exhibited in various Parisian and suburban venues, including the Teodora Galerie during the 2020 group show "Substances #3: Closed Eyes". He also leads workshops, sharing his passion and skills with new generations.
Medra's artworks have been featured in multiple auctions, selling for prices ranging from $616 to $1,711, with a record price for the piece "Esquive" in 2016. Notable works include "Resistance Apache" (2015) and several untitled canvases from 2016 and 2020.
Influenced by urban culture and artists like Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and Mr. Brainwash, Medra contributes to the evolution of contemporary street art. His art is both socially engaged and visually impactful, representing a bridge between traditional visual arts and urban expression, cementing his role in both the French and international art scenes.
