Biography
The photographic life of Laurent Gudin was built on a series of happy encounters.
With Jean-Pierre Gilson, master of black and white, who initiated him at the age of sixteen to the secrets of the draw, then with Neville Brody, the world-renowned designer of the modern press. These are the great years of Actuel, Glamor, Rock & Folk where Laurent shines his qualities of artistic director.
Africa grabs him on a trip with Alexandra Boulat in the Senegalese desert. A country where he returns and works regularly. Counting and rigor characterize his photographs. He is the craftsman of all the stages of his creation. Shooting, silver prints and even layout when it comes to his own books.
