Haïm Shalva

Haim Shalva is an Israeli digital artist, born in 1994 and raised in Tel Aviv in an Ashkenazi family, with deep roots in European culture and history. This heritage, tinged with memories and stories passed down about migrations and cultural transformations, is often reflected in his work, where motifs evoking the Europe of yesteryear are mixed with the concerns of today's world.

Passionate about art and ideas from a young age, he frequented the avant-garde artistic circles of Tel Aviv, where he developed a resolutely committed vision of artistic creation. Inspired by these circles, he turned exclusively to digital painting, finding in this medium a visual language capable of capturing the nuances and tensions of contemporary society.

A graduate of the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, he quickly gained recognition for his compositions that question identities, ideological divisions and social fractures. His series _Fragmented Cohesion_, exhibited in several major European galleries in 2022, offers visually dense and introspective works, mixing symbols of the past with reflections on the extremes of our times. The digital colors and textures he uses are often chosen to recall both the warmth of Tel Aviv and the visual memory of an ancient Europe, which gives his art a unique historical depth.

Today, Haïm Shalva is hailed for his bold approach, constantly reflecting on the transformations of society. His work stands out for its quest for meaning and dialogue, offering a striking mirror of the challenges of our time.
