This oil painting on cardboard titled "Mountain Waterfall" immerses the viewer in the untamed serenity of a highland landscape, where the elements of earth, water, and sky harmonize in a moment of wild elegance. With masterful brushstrokes and a vibrant yet natural palette, the artist captures the raw beauty of a mountainous terrain shaped by time and the unrelenting force of nature. At the heart of the composition, a lively waterfall bursts forth from a rocky crevice, its water cascading energetically into the space below. The motion of the falling water is rendered with expressive, vertical strokes of white, cool blue, and hints of turquoise that suggest both clarity and depth. The waterfall splits the composition in two, serving as a dynamic axis that draws the eye downward and energizes the scene. Despite its vigor, the water retains a softness, with diffused edges that capture the play of light and mist. Surrounding the waterfall, solid cliffs in muted grays, ochres, and earthy reds rise like guardians of the stream. Zhitomir artist Suprunchuk Yuri Sergeevich Born on April 11, 1961, in the city of Zhitomir. Graduated from the Zheleznogorsk Art School, Russia (1982). Teachers in the specialty: V. Chukuev, E. Nikulin. Painter. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2002). Major works: "Near the house" (2005), "Winter on the outskirts of Zhitomir" (2006), "Autumn still life" (2004). Lived and worked in the city of Zhitomir.
