Biography
Isabelle Lebret was born in 1964 in the Paris region, and is installed near Toulouse. After a scientific baccalaureate, the love of Art led her to the profession of restorer of paintings, which she has been exercising for about thirty years. But the desire and even the need to paint grew, and, alongside her profession, she worked in the studios of Toulouse painters. After portraits and animal paintings, today she explores the field of the human body. These are body-landscapes, all in curves and reliefs, highlighted by chiaroscuro light and the choice of monochrome on a stripped back background. His oil painting technique is a succession of layers, more and more dense and nuanced, carried by a precise and vibrant touch. Text by the poet Moïra: The nudes are revealed when the blue invites us to introspection. The sublime bodies then become the prerequisite for a more interior journey. We are given to see a highlighting, tender and magnificent, which reveals both the beauty of bodies, and the fragility, like strength, of their presence in the world. Then, delicately, the magic operates; we almost perceive their movement, their breath, their heartbeat. Until you feel what each nude calls emotion and contemplative state. - Moïra
