Maral Der Boghossian

Maral is a Lebanese artist from Armenian origins, born in 1976 in Paris.

She lives and works in Beirut and comes from a family of artists. Her mother Gulene is sculptor, her  late maternal uncle Haroutioun Torossian (1933-2022) is a painter and her father, a landscape  painter.

Their support had shaped her choices on her artistic path.

She holds a master's degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture of the  Lebanese University.

So far, she has held 3 solo exhibitions: at the Goethe Institute (Beirut, 2002), at Cilicia Museum  (Antelias, 2003), and in Alwane Gallery (Beirut, 2012)

In 2001 she was awarded as artist in residence in Vienna Austria under the patronage of UNESCO - Aschberg Fund.
