Claire Pendelio

Born in 1967, I have been drawing since childhood and sold my first landscape watercolors around 15 years old.

I introduce characters who then become the pretext for humorous and poetic compositions.

Influenced by comics, illustration and painting, I logically create a narrative expression, linked to my homeland of Brittany. but explores other themes, more "universal" according to my imagination.

History also interests me, all stories, from jokes to mythology, which resonates quite clearly in my paintings, which I like little theaters. Or surrealist painted circuses.

I consider myself an artist whose paintings accompany the lives of their owners.

A form of iconography with accents of poetry and humor, which in my opinion are two essential viatics to get through life.

Course :

1980-1992 sale of my watercolors, over the counter, in a gallery workshop in Guérande.

1992-2007 my paintings are sold via an art dealer, Galerie de la Place, Place des Vosges Paris. Parallel collaboration with the Pascale Froessel Strasbourg gallery.

2007, First solo exhibition at Shangri-La, Hong Kong where I won the competition. Collaboration with the Cat Street gallery, then States of the Arts gallery HK. Regular exhibitions at art shows and fairs in the Asian region.

2011 First exhibition at the Ode to Art Gallery Singapore.

2014 Collaboration with Lau Gallery, Jeong Ju Korea.
