Michel Beltrami

Born in Versailles in 1948, lives and works in Le Havre.

The subject of this work is the relationship between man and his environment: architecture representing him in the purest form he can create.

The constructions taken from their historical setting are placed within a magical and mysterious nature.

Under a sky conscious of the issue, like living organisms, they tend to connect to a separate earth. And it is precisely the painting, with its smooth and flat treatment, which finally makes it possible to restore a lost unity. The paintings thus take the form of an annunciation intended for man.
